Zimt Chocolates

No Christmas is complete without chocolate— and lots of it. Zimt’s organic ethically-sourced, vegan confections have so many drool-worthy flavours, from coconut to cardamom, you’ll want to load up on all of them. Owned and operated by a socially conscious female entrepreneur (and vegan!) Zimt goes above and beyond to ensure it’s making the world a better place, from its signature plastic-free packaging to its ethically-sourced and local ingredients, like sea salt.

Plenty + Spare Shampoo & Conditioner Bars

We love Plenty + Spare for its commitment to stripped down simplicity. Shampoo and conditioner bars are a simple and elegant switch you can make to cut down some of your resource waste in the bathroom. Like Satya’s founder, Plenty + Spare’s founder Kate Duda is deliberate in her ingredient choices: Though not vegan, the soaps use tallow, which is a local surplus ingredient that minimizes the product footprint. We love this shampoo & conditioner bar sample set from Plenty + Spare for self-care because they are oh-so luxurious— plus, you can sample multiple scents, like lemongrass and lavender.

These small-batch botanical skin care products are more than just top-notch quality for your skin: they’re an aromatherapeutic experience. Cheekbone Beauty

Cheekbone Beauty is a beautiful balance of social impact and amazing product. Anishinaabe founder Jennifer Harper dedicates each fabulous lipstick colour to an Indigenous warrior woman, such as a classic red, shown here, for 15-year-old water warrior Autumn Peltier. More than lipstick, Cheekbone is a lipstick movement where warriors of all colours, expressions and sizes wear their role models loud and proud. Plus, 10% of proceeds are donated to Shannen’s Dream, an organization that is supporting Indigenous youth. Stay tuned for Cheekbone’s environmentally-conscious packaging.
